We have recently begun a development into the clothing industry using heat-transfer vinyl to make clothes stand out with logos, art, and lettering.

The clothes we get are mostly from sanmar.com. We buy hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and jackets from them at wholesale and apply the vinyl design and whah la! We have the product!

The vinyl design price does not change by the amount of colors in the design; instead, the price only changes by size. Our printing and cutting vinyl machine prints onto the vinyl like a printer on paper; so, there is no extra cost for having a fully colored fish, for example, versus a single color fish (though in my opinion, the single color fish often looks very professional).

Heat transfer vinyl is an ironable vinyl; it comes in many colors, but ours comes white and printable. After printing and/or cutting the designs, we iron the vinyl onto a product (not typically with the common household iron, although the heat press irons definitely do fit in homes! See our available irons here>). The vinyl then is guaranteed up to 50 washings, is neat, and does not crumble!

Heat presses provide the even heat across the whole heated area. This gives the vinyl consistent and even application time which may improve the longevity of the vinyl.
