We are excited to bring this sewing workshop from Brother to Bemidji! You’ve known that Brother is the name to know for embroidery, but did you know that they also have some of the latest innovations is the sewing and quilting areas as well? We are excited to show some of these neat features in this workshop! If you are starting to look at upgrading your machine and would be interested in trying one of these user-friendly machines for a day of quilting fun, then this event is perfect for you!
Come experience many sewing features of the Dream Machine 2 and the Dreamweaver series sewing machines! You will use many of the awesome features of these machines while learning the secret to Judy Niemeyer’s amazing paper piecing methods with Brenda Anderson, a Certified Instructor to help you. Learn these fabulous techniques with a pattern designed exclusively for Brother customers.
We will be using many of the extraordinary machine features such as the guideline laser marker to assist in easily sewing straight lines, the pivot function making curved piecing a cinch, and learning how to achieve beautiful machine applique. Additionally, we will showcase different ways you can finish your project with machine quilting. These may include using the MuVit Foot, or rulers on the sewing machine.
Join us for this fun and exciting class! You will go away with many ideas, tips, tricks and a small paper-pieced and machine appliqued quilt top. You can finish your top into a placemat or small wall-hanging using the machine quilting style of your choice. Brenda will be sharing many samples for inspiration!
All materials will be provided and you’ll leave with a finished top! So you don’t need to bring anything but your smile and be ready to have a good time! There will be a few patterns for sale, as well as some tools that make your sewing projects much easier!
