2-Day Embroidery Party!
Join us for these two days of embroidery fun! Whether you come with your friends or not, you’ll be sure to leave with some more as you sew with your gnomies! All materials are provided for everyone to make ALL the projects! Plus we will be having lunches served both days as well as snacks along the way! We are even having a chocolate fondue fountain on Saturday!
There are only 30 seats available as we are only having two people to a machine! This is a Brother event so we will be featuring their machines at this event, and will be having special bundles available for purchase. We do ask a few questions before registering just so we know a little bit about you and make sure we have enough help or put you with a machine that is easiest for you.
Here are the projects we will be creating!
Hedgehog Needle Keeper
Just the right size to slip in a purse for a travel sewing kit or to sort your favorite needles for binding or hand embroidery, this handsome hedgehog will keep your needles safe.
The Gnome Knows Sewing Caddy
Did you know worker gnomes are never seen without their tools? This gnome and his whimsical snail pal know how to multitask, with embroidery scissors that double as eye glasses and a retractable tape measure tail tucked in a vinyl pocket.
Gnome Garden Pincushion
Here’s a hedgehog happily at home in a gnome garden of posies and enchanted mushrooms. This darling scene is embroidered as a pillow cover first, with a fabric strip added to make the narrow pocket for holding a grassy border of Wonderclips. Two white buttons are sewn through the pillow form create the tufted pincushion.
Pocket Full of Posies Apron
Featuring Kimberbell’s Over-the-Edge Applique technique, the Pocket Full of Posies Apron has a dimensional flower embroidered on an applique pocket. This to-die-for design comes in two sizes and is darling on our apron made from a tea towel, but can also be stitched on a full bib apron or tote.
The Buffalo Gnomes Tote
Known by their cheery and slightly mischievous personalities, three charming gnome gentlemen are ready to hold all your embroidery supplies—although you will have to do the “heavy” lifting once the tote is full.
Things to bring!
We will have a number of tools along to use, but here are some simple tools, that if you have them, feel free to bring them along. Please make sure you mark your scissors well, as those who have nice scissors, often have very similar ones and they can be mixed up or mistaken for their own.
- fabric scissors
- double-curve applique scissors
- water soluble pen
- pin cushion
- hand-sewing needle and thread
- seam ripper
- Most importantly, bring along your sense of humor! This is going to be fun making friends among these new Gnomies!
