February Happenings

What’s Been Happening?

The freezing temperatures of January are behind us, (I hope) and the warmer weather is lifting all our spirits. Here’s some things that are going on around the store:

The Service Center is busy! Now that the holidays are over and the projects are complete, people are getting those machines serviced for the new year. Jeremiah and Jaden are working furiously to keep the wait times as short as possible for you. Turn around times are still under two weeks! Don’t hesitate to get yours in today.
Claudia Quilts! Our newest team member, Claudia, was recently given the daunting task of doing the first test run on the new Handiquilter 28. This was her first time using Prosticher and she did a fantastic job. The quilt looks amazing and after she gets the binding done we’ll show it off on our Facebook page!
A big thank you to the Hackensack Quilt Club for visiting this week for a lecture and Q&A about sergers. We talked about the history of the serger, tips on threading, what’s new with air-threading, and so much more. It was a great time! If you have a group that wants to learn or just use our spacious workroom give us a call!
The Handiquitler Truck Show and the Kid’s Summer Sewing Camp are in the works! Right now we’re still in the planning phase, so dates and details are being worked on. Keep checking these emails and our Facebook page for information when it become available.
The All Minnesota Shop Hop starts in April and we’re getting ready. The magazines should be arriving shortly, which will allow you to plan your shop-hopping adventure! Remember there are TONS of prizes that you can win even if you don’t complete the entire state. Check them out at: https://minnesotashophop.com/prizes/
Speaking of fabrics and fun: Claudia has been hard at work putting together quilt and fabric bundles! 3-Yards quilt kits with pattern included, previous year Shop Hop collections, and more. She’s having some great ideas!

Thank you for your business and we look forward to an exciting spring!

Stay warm and take care,

Keith Johnson
