We are so excited to bring back the Handi Quilter team for another year of wonderful education and creativity!  If you are into quilting and would like to start exploring the world of longarm quilting, then this is the place to be!  Gina is a fabulous teacher and fun to watch and learn from!  Over the course of the two-day event, you will learn a ton of pro-tips to either get you started on your quilting journey, or give you all sorts of ideas on how to expand your creativity with what you already know!  We have both beginners and experts alike and they have both loved this class!

This is not just a lecture class!  Instead, we brought in the HQ Van and there will be 6 machines all set up and waiting for you to practice and play on!  We also limit the class size so that there are only 2 people per machine, so that you have a nice amount of time working on the skills that they teach you.  Plus! If you have already purchased an HQ machine from us, please email us for your coupon discount to save some money off the registration fee!

Don’t Wait!  Reserve your spot today!  In the past, we have sold out LONG before the event, so you don’t want to miss this one!

We have (2) two-day events, Wednesday-Thursday, and Friday-Saturday.  The difference between these two classes is that the first class is geared towards those who are exploring if this is something they want to get into as well as those who are brand new to their machine!  The second set of classes is geared towards owners with more time for Q&A and if everyone catches the main lesson quickly, we will expand into more advanced areas.  So pick the class that best fits where you are at right now, and feel free to call us if you are not sure.

We will start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM each day.  Here is what the schedule looks like:

Day One:

Morning: Longarm Machine Quilting Basics

Afternoon:  Fast, Fun, and Fabulous Free-Motion Quilting

Day Two:

Morning:  Introduction to the Pro-Stitcher (Hands on)

Afternoon:  Hands on Ruler Essentials

Our Educator:

Gina started sewing at age 12 when her Grandmother gave her a sewing machine. It was love at first stitch and she has been sewing ever since. Her love of quilting was born in 1985 when she bought her first hand-quilted Amish quilt in Lancaster PA. Soon after, she joined a quilt guild, learned to quilt and began teaching others!

Having purchased her first longarm quilting machine in 2003, Gina has years of experience on a variety of different brands and sizes of machines; but
Handi Quilter is her favorite. She has over twenty million stitches to show for it! She presently quilts with an HQ Infinity® with Pro-Stitcher®. She comes from a long line of teachers and teaches machine quilting on both longarm and domestic machines.

Gina has had quilts entered at Road to California, has received blue ribbons at county fairs and has been honored to be the featured quilter for one of her guild’s shows. She most enjoys making quilts of comfort for charities and gifts for family and friends.

Gina currently belongs to three quilt guilds in Southern California where she lives with her husband. She has two grown children, which, of course, are
her proudest achievements! She is excited to be part of the wonderful Handi Quilter team and to share her passion of quilting and educating others.
