October 21 & 22, 2026,

We are so excited to bring back the Handi Quilter team for another year of wonderful education and creativity!  If you are into quilting and would like to start exploring the world of longarm quilting, then this is the place to be!  Kristina is a fabulous teacher and fun to watch and learn from!  Over the course of the two-day event, you will learn a ton of pro-tips to either get you started on your quilting journey, or give you all sorts of ideas on how to expand your creativity with what you already know!  We have both beginners and experts alike and they have both loved this class!

This is not just a lecture class!  Instead, we brought in the HQ Van and there will be 6 machines all set up and waiting for you to practice and play on!  We also limit the class size so that there are only 2 people per machine, so that you have a nice amount of time working on the skills that they teach you.  Plus! If you have already purchased an HQ machine from us, please email us for your coupon discount to save some money off the registration fee!

Don’t Wait!  Reserve your spot today!  In the past, we have sold out LONG before the event, so you don’t want to miss this one!

This two-day class is geared towards those just starting their quilting journey.  Whether exploring the purchase of a machine, or just getting started with your own, this class is designed to give you the tools to make your quilting a success.

The following two days have classes geared those who want to venture past the basics.  So if that is more of what you are looking for, check out the alternate classes at the bottom of this page.

We will start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM each day.  Here is what the schedule looks like:

Day One:

Morning: Longarm Machine Quilting Basics

Afternoon:  Fast, Fun, and Fabulous Free-Motion Quilting

Day Two:

Morning:  Introduction to the Pro-Stitcher (Hands on)

Afternoon:  Hands on Ruler Essentials

Our Educator:

Kristina began quilting with her grandmother in the 1990’s. She pieced and quilted on her domestic machine until being introduced to longarm quilting in 2014 and hasn’t looked back.

Her longarm quilting experience began on an HQ Avanté® with Pro-Stitcher®. After touching the Handi Quilter machine for the first time, she was hooked. She currently owns an HQ Forte® with Pro-Stitcher and an Amara® 24 with Pro-Stitcher.

She loves to share her passion for quilting through education. She teaches all over the world and absolutely loves it. In addition to teaching in person, she was also the co-host for the Watch & Learn quilting show and her quilting has been featured in various magazines. She currently is the host of the “Did You Know?” Quilting Show on YouTube.

Kristina enjoys all types of longarm quilting including rulers, Pro-Stitcher, and free-motion. She quilts for hire, for pleasure, and is working to complete 50 of her grandmother’s quilt tops. She loves to think outside of the box and to push herself as well as her students to try new things.
